Recipe for Paneer Butter Masala

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
  • 2-3 green chillies, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • 250 grams paneer, cubed
  • 2 tablespoons cream
  • Chopped fresh cilantro, for garnish
Instructions:
  1. Heat the butter in a large pan over medium heat.
  1. Add the onions and sauté for 3-4 minutes, until softened.
  1. Add the ginger-garlic paste and green chillies, and cook for a few minutes.
  1. Add the ground coriander, cumin and garam masala, and mix to combine.
  1. Add the tomato puree and red chilli powder and bring to a simmer.
  1. Add salt to taste and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  1. Add the paneer cubes and cook for 5 minutes, stirring often.
  1. Add the cream and stir to combine.
  1. Garnish with cilantro and serve hot.
