Creamy Pasta with Peas

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 lb. pasta of your choice
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions.
  1. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  1. Add the flour and whisk until the mixture is smooth and bubbly.
  1. Gradually add the milk, whisking constantly until the mixture is thick and creamy.
  1. Add the white pepper, nutmeg, and peas.
  1. Cook over low heat for 5 minutes or until the peas are heated through.
  1. Add the Parmesan cheese and stir until melted.
  1. Drain the cooked pasta and add it to the sauce.
  1. Serve hot.
